Review Description: I dictate between patients at my desktop and I can't say enough about my SpeechWare 3in1 table mike. Tremendous accuracy. Freedom to dictate up to 2 feet from the mike. Both hands free to navigate Amazing Charts, hold papers, dial the phone, etc. I can't fathom tying up one hand with a handheld and try to operate mike buttons while dictating. Keep it simple, and accurate.

Review Description: Over the 15 years I have used numerous microphones with IBM Via Voice, Dragon Naturally Speaking, Dragon Dictate on Windows & Mac OS and I have used nothing better for voice recognition than this SpeechWare 3-in-1 TableMike. USB microphones are the best for speech recognition and in my experience this TableMike has the best voice recognition fidelity followed by Philips LFH3500 SpeechMike Premium with Precision Microphone and Push Button Operations . Handsfree use really increases the productivity. Speech recognition accuracy of this microphone approaches 99.5%. It works out of the box, you do not have to install any software. But if you want to program the buttons, you can download a configuration utility from manufacturer's web site. Philips LFH3500 SpeechMike Premium with Precision Microphone and Push Button Operations is handheld microphone and has programmable buttons which you can use for repetitive computer tasks. But the Philips software is very buggy. SpeechWare makes 3 different TableMike's - 3 in 1 is the basic one but does not have the playback speaker (you plug one in, though). TableMike 6 in 1 comes with built-in speaker & USB port; 9 in 1 TableMike has SD card reader and extra USB port for webcam plug in. The speech recognition accuracy is same for all, and if that is what you need it for than you do not need anything more than 3 in 1 TableMike. You are much better off buying it directly from Knowbrainer, owner Lunis and his son Tom are very knowledgeable about speech recognition and microphones and will guide you well and also provide technical support for 30 days. For handsfree speech recognition, there is no better microphone.
